The types of gold deposits in nature are complex and diverse. There are mainly conglomerate type, greenstone belt type, quartz vein type, ductile shear zone type, Carlin type, porphyry type, shallow low-temperature hydrothermal type, volcanic rock type, Cenozoic sand deposit, etc. Adopt different beneficiation processes for different types of minerals. The use of low-cost cyanide in the beneficiation process will face environmental pollution problems. Especially in countries with high environmental requirements, there is an urgent need to seek alternative environmentally friendly chemicals to ensure mineral processing efficiency.
Our company has developed the YX500, a new type of leaching reagent, which is a series of high-tech products that can completely replace cyanide to achieve efficient gold leaching. Suitable for various gold containing ores and materials, as well as related leaching processes, mainly including gold and silver oxide ores, primary ores, cyanide tailings, gold concentrates, roasting slag, anode mud, etc., determined by the properties of the ore, suitable for leaching processes such as heap leaching, carbon slurry, and agitation leaching.

YX500 gold leaching reagent can directly replace cyanide without changing the original cyanide leaching process to achieve efficient leaching of gold in gold containing materials; At the same time, the product is equipped with a dedicated leaching tailings slurry treatment reagent, which can make the leaching tailings slurry meet the national environmental protection emission requirements, remove the leaching tailings from the hazardous waste category of cyanide containing tailings, and facilitate the safe production of enterprises.
This product has the advantages of low toxicity and environmental protection, high recovery rate, strong leaching ability, good stability, strong adaptability to ores, simple and convenient operation method, equivalent dosage to cyanide, significantly reduced comprehensive cost (leaching + environmental treatment) compared to cyanide leaching, and convenient storage and transportation.
Instructions for using leaching reagent YX500
- Application scope:
①Application scope: Gold, silver oxide ores, primary ores, cyanide tailings, gold concentrates, roasted slag, anode mud and other gold containing materials;
②Applicable processes: Leaching processes such as heap leaching, carbon slurry, and agitation leaching.
2. Product Form:Powder
3. Dissolution method: After thoroughly stirring and dissolving with water at room temperature, it can be used.
4. Adjust alkalinity: Generally, lime or caustic soda is used to adjust and maintain a pH value of 11-12.
5. Reagent preparation: The dosage of YX500 can fully refer to the usage of sodium cyanide. Different concentrations of reagents can be prepared according to different ore grades and impurity contents. Generally, YX500 is first prepared into a solution with a concentration of 3-5%, and then the reagents are added at the same location where cyanide was originally added, thus achieving the substitution of cyanide reagents.
6. Product usage process: Consistent with conventional cyanide leaching process.
7. Other matters:
- Due to the fast leaching speed, it is recommended to regularly check the content of noble and poor solutions, pH value, and YX500 concentration;
- A small amount of black residue dissolved in YX500 has no effect on leaching efficiency and subsequent operations;
- YX500 can be used simultaneously or in combination with sodium cyanide;
- YX500 is suitable for various leaching processes of gold containing materials, including carbon slurry process and zinc powder displacement process;
- The YX500 leaching precious liquid gold recovery method is universal with cyanide leaching process and has no effect on the recovery rate;
- YX500 leaching recycle water can be reused multiple times;
- YX500 has strong adaptability to leaching environment temperature and has no effect on leaching efficiency within the range of 0-50 ℃;
- In general, for the leaching operation of high-grade gold bearing materials (such as gold concentrate), the usage of YX500 is slightly higher than that of cyanide.

Testing method for concentration of leaching reagent
- Reagent preparation:
① Indicator: Weighing indicator I
Dissolve 0.1000g in 500ml acetone, mix well and place in a brown bottle for later use.
② Titrant: Weigh the titrant II
Dissolve 1.7334g in 1000ml distilled water, mix well and set aside for later use.
2. Concentration detection process of leaching reagent:
① Take 10ml of the test solution and place it in a 100ml conical flask. Add 5 drops of indicator and shake well (the solution shows yellow).
② Titrate the test solution with a titrant and slowly add the titrant dropwise. Shake well while dripping during titration, and observe the color change at the same time. When the test solution changes from yellow to dark pink, if the color does not repeat after staying for 30 seconds, the titration reaches the endpoint.
(The indicator: 4-Dimethylaminobenzal rhodanine; The titrant: silver nitrate)
3. Calculation of leaching reagent concentration:
Concentration of YX500C gold leaching agent in the test solution:
C Reagent concentration =V×10-4
Of which:
V——Volume consumption of titrant(ml)
C Reagent concentration——Concentration of leaching reagent
E.g. If 5ml of titration reagent is consumed, the concentration of gold leaching reagent in the tested solution is 5×10-4, and so on.
Product transportation and storage methods:
- The leaching reagent YX500 has been identified by relevant national institutions and belongs to ordinary goods. Products that have no explosive or oxidizing hazards, are not classified as flammable or radioactive materials, and can be safely transported by road, railway, sea, or air.
2. Strictly abide by the relevant national regulations for the transportation and storage of chemicals.
3. The product has hygroscopicity and should be stored in a cool and dry place, sealed and stored. Pay attention to moisture prevention and avoid direct oral ingestion by humans and animals.
4. It is strictly prohibited to mix with acidic chemicals or edible chemicals.
